United States Junior Singlehanded Championship
Upon seeing the opportunities for Junior Singlehanded competition, US Sailing established this series in 1974. This national junior sailing trophy was donated to US Sailing by friends of D. Verner Smythe in appreciation for Mr. Smythe's many years of support to Junior Sailing activities. This series is sailed in conjunction with the Sears Cup and the U.S. Junior Doublehanded Sailing Championship.
